MURALS
When we develop housing we want it to be safe, comfortable and instill a sense of connection and cultural meaning for residents and the surrounding communities. Murals are our way of communicating our history, culture and vision for our homes.
If you were to tour FHDC properties you would see how murals are part of our community identity and serve to inspire wonder and hope. Since the early 2000s We have partnered with Hector Hernandez to led community mural projects at Colonia Amistad, Colonia Libertad, Nuevo Amanecer, and Cipriano Ferrel Education Building.
Among the subjects and themes reflected in his murals are the community involvement on issues such as environment, education, multiculturalism, and social change.
