Visiting Health Care Providers
Mobile Health & Dental Vans
Twice a year, Legacy Health and/or Good Samaritan provides a health van for adults and children. Part of the services also includes dental services.
Dental Clinic Van
Medical Team International Mobile Dental Clinic provides free or low-cost urgent dental care services to adult patients who lack dental insurance or any realistic way to pay for dental treatment. Their fully-equipped van is staffed by licensed dentists, hygienists and dental assistants who generously volunteer their time.
Health Care Insurance Program Enrollment: Soy Sano / I’m Healthy
FHDC works with Oregon Latino Health Coalition and Oregon Health Authority to enroll residents onto health insurance programs. Enrollment can be done on-site via FHDC’s Resident Service Coordinator or through an enrollment fair once a year. This service provides health care access via vouchers at partner clinics to youth under 19 that do not qualify for the Oregon Health Plan or other Insurance plans.
Health Education and Support
Nutrition Education
Oregon State University Extension (OSUE) provides on-site sessions around healthy and cost-effective meals once a week. In addition, OSUE also has exercise groups that are available to residents.
Mis Abuelos
Mis Abuelos is a support group that provides mental health and nutrition education for seniors.
Outreach, Advocacy, and Navigation
Oregon Latino Health Coalition provides health care outreach, health system navigation, and advocacy for Latino residents.
