It was a gorgeous Oregon spring day to bring leaders together to the future home of Colonia del Valle Próspero, located in the beautiful community of Albany. CDVP is a multi-phase affordable housing development, with phase 1 featuring 54 multifamily units and phase 2 adding 100 more multifamily units. Notable features will include a community center, a futsal court, a playground, a laundry facility, and community gardens.
On hand for this tour were Oregon’s First Lady, First Lady Aimee Kotek Wilson, accompanied by her team, along with leadership from the City of Albany, including Mayor Alex Johnson II and City Councilors Dr. Ramycia McGhee & Marilyn Smith, partners from Oregon Housing & Community Services (OHCS), site management from the LMC Construction team, North Development Group representation, and team members from FHDC.
It was great to come together to see firsthand how far this project has come. FHDC’s Housing Development Manager, Carmen Fernandez, shared about CDVP, “The project also represents FHDC’s unwavering commitment to addressing the housing needs of working families in the Willamette Valley.” This type of work cannot be accomplished by a single entity, and we thank everyone involved for helping bring CDVP to this point. Stay tuned for more updates on FHDC’s next development in Linn County.
