FHDC receives support from PGE Foundation to rehab Cipriano Ferrel Education Center

Built in 2003, Cipriano Ferrel (CFEC) is our largest and most impactful community education center, central to supporting educational, social, and workforce development activities for more than 150 low-income resident families, hundreds of other community members, and several important educational, health, and leadership development organizations in Woodburn. The building, which is nearing its 17th year of service to the community, is in need of some capital preservation in order to retain its ability to serve our community.

Thanks to the $25,000 in recent grant funding and support from the PGE Foundation, we are able to begin our capital campaign to preserve the critical resource for families for years to come. We look forward to the work ahead to ensure that the services and space for community building that we have are as impactful as the housing we build.

Cipriano Ferrel, dedicated to the late farmworker activist who worked alongside Cesar Chavez, serves hundreds of individuals and families with education, health, and social services.
