Preschool education services for 4 year olds are provided at FHDC’s Cipriano Ferell Education Center through the Woodburn School District (WSD).  WSD offers two preschool programs:

Migrant Preschool prepares children for Kindergarten and is available to migrant farmworker families with 4-year olds.  Migrant Preschool runs from for the full day.

Preschool Promise serves children within 200% of the federal poverty level and runs for the full day.

After School Program

FHDC offers year-round after school activities for youth including homework assistance, arts and crafts, sports or exercise, and educational activities.


  • A free nutritious meal is provided through Woodburn School District.
  • FHDC also partners with Latina Girl Scouts to provide outdoor activities for FHDC’s Latina yout
  • With a focus on youth in 3rd grade – High School, Boys and Girls Club will work with youth to prepare them for life outside of high school.  Their activities are scholarship and college application preparation, job searches, resume writing, and environmental community services.
