Last week, FHDC’s Promotores traveled to Salem in support of the signing of HB3310. Promotores and FHDC staff celebrated with all constituents of the bill during a celebration, and also enjoyed the opportunity to meet Governor Kate Brown.
HB 3310 brings forth the spirit and intent of the National Voting Rights Act to Oregon by creating a community-driven process for school districts, education service districts and community college boards to align electoral structures with what’s happening at the national level.
Promotores have had and will continue to advocate on behalf of issues that affect themselves, their families, and their communities.
