So many words, memories, thoughts, and emotions come to the surface when recalling what thirty years of building up farmworkers and their families has meant in communities across the mid-Willamette Valley of Oregon. In order to celebrate, we are releasing a 3-part series highlighting FHDC’s past, present, and future.
In our first video, we caught with three key pioneers who played instrumental roles in our formation and the building of our first community, Nuevo Amanecer, in Woodburn. Movement leader and elder, Ramon Ramirez, FHDC founder, Attorney Nargess Shadbeh, and FHDC current Board Treasurer and Community Leader, Larry Kleinman share their reflections, stories, and successes on what cemented FHDC as a trusted builder of stable homes and lives, and coined the term “si se puede.”
Stay tuned for the release of part 2 and 3 in December!
Help us reach our goal to raise $50,000 online to celebrate our 30 year anniversary!
