FHDC is celebrating 30 years of fighting for farmworker rights and stable housing! Our 3-part video series shares insight into how the organization came together despite the political and cultural stigma and racism to form a strong network of supportive living that houses more than 1,300 farmworkers and their families, with more than 150 units in rehabilitation or construction currently.
Part 2 “Present: FHDC’s Impact Today” highlights the perspective of current residents, former residents, and community leaders on what makes FHDC’s work instrumental in creating more than just housing for farmworkers. Part 2 of 3 features current residents and leaders Gabriela, Martha, and Josefina; former resident Miguel; and organizational leaders and partners Meg, Larry, Joni, Reyna, and Laura; who share what FHDC means to them and some insight into the aspects that have made FHDC what it is today.
