There has been so much activity and reasons to ¡CELEBRAR! over the last few weeks throughout FHDC communities!
- There are now wellness vending machines in operation so residents can conveniently stay on top of their health. Thank you Santiam Hospital/Scope Lab for bringing this resource to our community.
- Folklore classes have been an enjoyable offering for youth, and we thank Enlace for continuing to bring these beautiful opportunities to our communities!
- After-school programming continues to be available so youth can stay engaged in purposeful activities.
- A special visit from Salem-Keizer Superintendent Andrea Castañeda was had, and this provided meaningful dialog and an opportunity to hear updates on matters important to residents.
- FHDC team members hosted a resource fair at Woodburn High School, where more than 120 families were served. The team deems this first-year event a success. Stay tuned for announcements regarding future resource fairs.
- FHDC team members attended a community forum hosted by Woodburn Chamber. These monthly gatherings are always valuable to attend to know what is taking place in the Woodburn community, in addition to establishing connections with community leaders.
- The Cipriano Ferrel Education Center officially reached the 20-year mark in the Woodburn community! A special event was held to celebrate this milestone. Attendees honored and celebrated the life and contributions of the late community and human rights activist Cipriano Ferrel. In addition, recognitions for dynamic partners and FHDC team members were given. Look for a short report with additional photos from the event.
