On October 5th FHDC staff Fabiola Camacho and Maria Maciel traveled to Salem for the Fall Outreach and Education Roundtable for the State’s childhood healthcare initiative. As one of four organizations selected out of the entire State of Oregon to demonstrate best practice for the  I’m healthy! / ¡Soy sano! Program, we reflected on and celebrated our work to build a community-based outreach model as we roll into the new year.

FHDC received funds earlier this year from the Oregon Health Authority to assist children and teens with access to free primary and preventive health care services and will plan to continue the efforts, building on momentum from 2017.  Our partners include Marion County Health Authority, Marion and Polk County Health Clinics, and other Community Based Outreach organizations.
