Aldo Solano was recently promoted to Policy Director for the Oregon Latino Health Coalition. Once a resident in FHDC’s housing and now a current board member, Aldo grew up in a farmworker household. His humble upbringing did not come without opportunity. Having access to after school and developmental programming, he became an advocate and a leader at a young age.
Aldo recently was the Health Equity Organizer for the Cover All Kids Campaign, which extended healthcare coverage to 100% of children in Oregon. Prior to the promotion at OLHC, Aldo was a special projects coordinator for the CAPACES Leadership Institue and a Field Organizer for Accion Politica PCUNista.
We are proud of Aldo and OLHC for investing in the next generation of leaders. Aldo will continue his advocacy within the national movement to pass the Dream Act. Thanks Aldo for all that you do!
