Around 34 families & more than 90 children gathered at Nuevo Amanecer to celebrate the holidays. We were joined by Amador Aguilar from Enlace, a sister organization, who did a presentation with his students playing music & dancing. We are grateful to have him teaching music and dancing to kids at Cipriano Ferrel every Wednesday night.
Music created the ambiance thanks to a resident DJ, and another resident dressed up as Santa to pass out gifts for all of the kids, dressed in a suit donated by the Lake Grove Presbyterian Church, the sponsor of the event. Thanks to all the Promotores who helped organize and promote the event:
At Summerset Senior Community, we celebrated in partnership with Evolve Workforce and Multifamily Housing, and our seniors received gifts and shared in a potluck:
At Colonia Amistad in Independence, we had about 80 residents gather to enjoy a raffle, drinks, and food donated by the City with special guests Mario Magana from Oregon State University and Amador Aguilar who organized music and dance.
