Elected officials and affordable housing organizations from across the state came together for a ceremonial signing of four robust bills from the 2024 legislative session to advance housing production as well as the state’s homeless response. The entire package was passed with passed with bipartisan support. Everyone wins! Notably, Senate Bill 1530 provides a total of $278 million in funding for housing development. And Senate Bill 1537 is designed to encourage more housing production across the state.

There is still a lot of work to be done, but this is a step in the right direction.
