Recently, FHDC welcomed housing development partners from Oregon Housing and Community Services for a tour in Silverton at our newest farmworker housing community Colonia Jardines. The purpose of the tour was to check in on the community after nearly a year of operations, to see how the new community has made a difference for rural farmworkers and their families.
Kari Johnson and Maria Elena Guerra of FHDC were joined by Evolve’s Director of Property Management, Jenifer Dettmann and Site Property Manager, Circe Vielman. Local resident Sarah Wright and her son also partook, sharing with visitors from the State their experience living in Colonia Jardines and how it has positioned her family to find stability in work, education and life.
Oregon Housing and Community Services’ resources are instrumental in financing FHDC’s affordable housing developments including our upcoming development Colonia Unidad. Thanks to all involved!
