FHDC resident Daisy Tapia receives scholarship from Ford Family Foundation

Congratulations to all recent high school graduates, including outstanding FHDC resident Daisy Tapia, for receiving a generous scholarship from the Ford Family Foundation to pursue higher education. . Ford scholarships award 90 percent of unmet need, up to $25,000 per year.

Daisy has lived with her family in Nuevo Amanecer in Woodburn for several years. She has always played an active role in various programming, dedicating many hours as a volunteer and youth mentor. Last year, Daisy was crowned the Queen of the Woodburn Fiesta for her dedication to the community.

Daisy has big plans to attend Lindfield College to pursue engineering or business, dreams to travel to Chile, and eventually return to Woodburn to apply her education towards supporting her community.

Congrats to all graduating Seniors, and a special thank you to Daisy!
